sans

Today I got to go shopping with my girlfriends, Christy and Jenny. We went to Hobby Lobby, where we drooled, for a couple of hours (at least), over future projects that we wish to replicate off of our Pinterest list. I changed my mind on what I had planned to make as my exchange gift, for the Pinterest party. I'm super stoked. I wonder if I can rig it and gift it to myself instead? Hmmm? Kidding, I bought extra supplies, 'cause I'm going to make one for myself.  I'm in love with it that much!! Afterwards, we had a long, relaxing lunch at Olive Garden. Then we made a mad dash to Target, where OMG, the little girls dresses and headbands with pretty flowers and the tinsel stockings. Chris seriously needs to add another job to his resume. Like now. Matching dresses for my girls? I want. We made one last stop at Joann's, did you know they match Michael's coupons? They do and thanks to Christy, I got 40% off of my purchase. Oh! And did I mention that we did all this shopping and chatting and laughing and eating and planning SANS kids and husbands? It was the best. While we waited what seemed like an eternity for our frickin' table at O.G., we heard a baby (around Evie's age), fussing and crying, Christy and I just looked at each other and just cracked up. 'Cause it wasn't mine. 'Cause mine were over at Grandma's house, being spoiled. Win.for.me. It was just a lovely day.
After we said goodbye, I headed back to Grandma's house and smooched up my babies. They hadn't missed me. Not even the littlest one. Good? Yes. And no. Know what I mean?
Then we took Ellie and Pooh to this dinosaur thing here in Wausau. I don't think I've mentioned it but Pooh is really into dinosaurs. So much, we have to play "dinosquad" with his little dinosaur action figures EVERY day. I'm dino'd out. But he loves it, he mentioned, yesterday, that when he grows up: "I wanna be a  dinobonerfinder, that's what I wanna be". He was in Heaven, I'll post pics tomorrow, not sure how to post from my phone since we're not home. We're staying in Wausau tonight, since we will be celebrating our niece's birthday tomorrow. She's going to be....15? 15! 15...no wonder Auntie's been hoarding Evie the whole night.  But who wouldn't want to? She's just scrumptious. And she'll soon be 8 months. 8 months. My, how the time has just flown by. Although, I did enjoy my day sans kids, I am so glad to get back to them and hear their little voices...until I can't and I need another shopping trip. Oh! And Ellie came up with a great idea! She mentioned (because she's aware of our Pinterest party) why can't she have one with her friends. I jokingly, mentioned it to the girls and we got to talking, perhaps it would be fun to have one with the kids one afternoon, work on a Father's Day craft or Easter or something...I think it sounds like a funtastic idea!

the morning after

Last night was the premier of Twilight-Breaking Dawn part 2. I went with a small
group of friends, thank goodness it was the 10pm showing, NO way would I
have been able to have stayed up if it would have been the midnight viewing.
No.Way. I really thought I would have fallen asleep, I even asked my friend
Christy to punch me in the arm, if she heard me snoring. But thank goodness,
I managed to stay awake, because this was by far the best out of all of the
movies. Theeee best. So good, I'm going to make Chris take me to see it
again, sometime next week.

ummm…HELLO. totally swear this was not my favorite
part of the movie. I swear…ok, maybe second
favorite. because, HELLO.

I have been going to bed reeeeally late, every night,
Chris and I have been streaming Supernatural, so we have
been staying up until midnight. not smart, since I
have a 7 (almost 8) month old who has been waking
up around 4, wanting to play. so, this morning, I
got Ellie semi ready, when my awesome husband said
he would take care of getting her ready and drop her off
and then take care of the other two and why
don't I go back to bed. awesome, right?
well, the other two must have partied hard because
this is what I walked into when I stumbled out of
bed. you should have seen the kitchen table.

totally worth it. TOTALLY.

blog fail

So, I pretty much suck at this blogging thing. I feel like I'm behind in everything that I do or would like to do, lately. I have mountains of laundry, my bedroom and bathroom look like the kids' playroom/mudroom. The kids and I have somewhat picked up the toys in their rooms but I would like to organize more and get rid of toys in both the upstairs rooms, the basement (that will be a winter project) I have started buying supplies to get the girls' room in order and looking adorable. But with a teether and a newly crawler…it's been pretty much a lot of holding, snuggling because she's miserable, and a ton of changing poopie pants because she's been feeling icky and duh, because she's a baby. And Chris hasn't put the gates up yet (hoping he'll get to that this week or else I will be doing the task) and trying to keep a 6 and 4 year old entertained so they stop asking if they can watch t.v., is mind draining and I can't get to my housework. So when Chris gets home from work, I'm frantically trying to tidy up the kitchen, wiping off the counters and table, vacuuming the floors for like the billionth time. Finally, I punch out and plop on the couch and blog??? Nope. I go on Pinterest and stream episodes of Supernatural. So, really, I blame Pinterest. I'm obsessed. Not one day goes by that the word is not said, by myself or the kids.
This month, I'm cohosting a PINTEREST PARTY with my girlfriends, Christy and Katie. I am beyond excited. Hopefully one of the girls will bring their camera and I can post pictures. So, moving on with what I have failed to post:

do you see her toofers? at the time,
she only had two. now, she has three!
two on the bottom and one on top.
which, she grinds. which, drives me batty.

6 months!!! no, actually, 7 months. I couldn't
get her in when she turned 6 months. fail.

crazy hair day at school. it's a hair bow.

my attempt at a mod podge pumpkin.
pinterest.

one boot…I…ah, lost the mate. it would
be an interesting tale to tell, if I had been
intoxicated. but alas, nope. just plain 'ol
too tired to notice that after I had slipped
my boots off and got out to drive, after
changing spots with Chris, that the right
boot had fallen out behind me, as I
opened and closed the car door.
sad. I liked them boots.

my attempt to catch up with the school bus,
which was on it's way to the pumpkin patch,
for a field trip. hmmm, what? was I speeding??
no, you see…this is Chris' truck and he hadn't
applied the frickin' sticker on his frickin'
license plate. which he did receive, in the
mail, which he had opened and left in
the suburban.

finally!!! late but I made it to the pumpkin patch.

"unco shergo" flew in from CA and Ellie
insisted on taking him to the "messycan"
restaurant, because…you know, <whispers>
"he's messycan" on another day, Pooh offered
him some "sofa" (salsa), to which my
sarcastically, dry humored brother replied,
"your kids are racists" hahahaha

my new boots. still bummed out about the lost one
but I like these too

can you guess who (unco Shergo, Ellie,
Pooh or mama) made which pumpkin?

isn't she just ADORABLE? it's like I can hear her,
"wat da heck am I nakid in a pumkeen? no,
I no gonna smiow, I no care, yous smiow"
my friend Katie took this and many other pics of
Evie, will be posting those when I get a chance
and I'll have to link her blog…but I…ah, don't
know how to do that, yet. She is a wonderful
gal and has been blessed with the gift of
photography.

trick or treat!

family night. making memories

busted

why oh why, wouldn't you stick you little
fist in a jar of vaseline, Pooh? I mean, why not?

waiting for Ellie to get out of school, goofing
around with my little guy.

made these for both kids' school treat. huge hit.

preview, trying to come up with a perfect
christmas picture. this is just one of a few that
my friend, Christy, took. she also has been
blessed with the talent for
 taking pictures.

Anyway, I am on my way out the door, going to go see Twilight with a some moms and oooo and ahhh at the big screen. I'm going to try and make it a point to blog every night, regardless of how tired or how lame the day was. Most likely, if and when it comes to Pooh, I'll have something interesting to share.
